C'est normal Bamboo. Je t'invite à lire les nombreux sujets sur le super special. Le nouveau de chez Hallmark est maintenant traité => lisse. Il n'a plus grand chose à voir avec l'ancien, maintenant interdit, si ce n'est une inversion d'effet toujours très importante.
Il faut s'y habituer, mais après quelques temps, il est redoutable.

I have made a revision of the longpimpled rubbers on our website, so you can find new figures for speed, spin and control. But actually I think this is a rather poor description of the longpimpled rubbers.
If we take speed we can talk about at least two different speeds. One is when you want to speed up the ball yourself and another is to bring back speed like a "catapult". In the first place the speed normally increases the shorter the pimples are and in the last case the catapult normally increases the longer the pimples are. My figures on the website is for the first type of speed.
Spin can also mean two different things in different tables. One is the ability to make spin of ones own and the other is spinreversal ( the ability to bring the spin back). My figures on the website describes the ability to make spin. But notice that spinreversal is very close the reverse of the possibility to make spin.
Controle can also mean two different things. First the ability to place the ball where you want to have it, when you make the speed yourself. My figures on the website reflects this. The other controle is the ability to reduce (moderate) the speed of the ball and that is of course important and that demand other qualities of the rubber compared with the control I described first.
The last thing which I don´t have in the figures on the website is the effect. Also there you often mix up two different effects; disturbing effect and antispin effect.
In next mail I will tell you my estimation of the longpimpled rubbers disturbing effect and the antispin effect.

Here is part two of the discussion about the characteristics of longpimple
rubbers. The first thing concerns the disturbing effect ( not spinreversal).
The disturbing effect increases the more the pimples can bend. Things that
influence the ability to bend is the pimple aspect ratio (length/diameter),
the total length of the pimples, how dense they are spaced out, the
thickness of the rubber base and the characteristics of the rubber mixture.
Note that the more easily the pimples bend the more often they are broken.
Of the longpimpled rubbers we have on the website www.japsko.com I would
rank the disturbing effect in the following way. Most disturbing DHS-C8,
After that a group of 3 rubbers Prasidha 1615, RITC 755 and Dawei 388D,
after that a group of 4 rubbers; Meteor L8512, Palio CK 531A, DHS Fog and
Hallmark Super Special and after that a 2 rubbers Dr Neubauer Super Block
and Hallmark Super Defense.
The antispineffect is best in the Neubauer and Hallmark longpimpled rubbers
except Hallmark Frustration and it is a big difference compared to the rest
of the longpimpled rubbers on our website.
If we look at the possibility of the rubbers to moderate(control) the speed
of the ball I would rank the following as the best; Dawei 388D, Prasidha
1615, Hallmark Super Special Extra, Palio CK 531A, DHS Cloud & Fog and Dr
Neubauer Super Block.
The overall possibility to control the ball (not only moderate speed) gives
3 rubbers in top; Dr Neubauer Scalpel, Globe 979 and Dr Neubauer The Wall
and after that a group of 3 rubbers; RITC 837, Hallmark Super Special Extra
and Hallmark Super Defense.
Most speed you will find in Globe 979, RITC 755 Faster, Dr Neubauer The Wall
and Hallmark Frustration. After that I would rank a group of 5 rubbers; RITC
837, JUIC Leggy, Dr Neubauer Super Block, Hallmark Super Defense and DHS-C7.
When I discuss disturbing effect, antispin effect, speed etc I do not take
the sponge into account. It is only based on the characteristics of the
topsheets.

Dans ce cas, je pense que le Kameo est un bon choix si tu as déjà un bon contrôle en revers et le Strategy un excellent compromis bien sous tous rapports si tu cherches un peu plus de contrôle pour le picot.

Le Kameo reste pour moi un excellent bois, même si je ne joue plus avec pour le moment, en première raquette.
Il est effectivement assez rapide en CD (All+ à Off-), est très équilibré, mais reste relativement rapide en revers. Le système BPA ( des languettes en bois se plaçant dans le manche) permettant de varier l'équilibre du bois et de le rendre plus ou moins rapide, m'a moins convaincu =>option inutile selon moi.
Pour le jeux avec picots, je trouve depuis deux ou trois mois que le Hallmark Strategy est très efficace. Je m'attendais à un bois de défense très lent, mais après avoir verni le coup droit (plus facile avec la colle rapide), je le trouve très efficace en attaque, frappe à plat et bloc (Tackifire soft 2,1 + colle rapide) et très bon pour l'amortissement en revers. A conseiller donc.
Un copain m'a fait essayer un Dr Neubauer High technology avec un super block, mais je ne le trouvais pas franchement plus efficace. En plus, ce bois est très épais, bien que très léger (full balsa) ce qui demande une certaine adaptation. Et voilou!

J'ai aussi essayé de décoller un bamboo 0,5, et rien n'y a fait!. malgré une nuit complète passée dans l'acétone, rien! alors quid???

Comment as-tu procédé, Françis? Et le résulata? Pas trop de pertes?

J'ai essayé les eux. je joue depuis plusieurs années avec le TSS. J'en suis très content. j'ai néanmoins essayé le friendship en questio et je suis plus mitigé. Réagit très fort à la colle (le mousse se tord dans tous les sens) et fort bruit de colle. Néanmoins, vu qu'il est très adhérent, la vitesse est un peu spéciale. Je ne contrôle pas aussi bien en bloc. je dois encore tester avant de me faire une odée définitive. Je joue avec le TSS en 2,1 mm et le friendship en 2,0mm
